Manchester United are determined to sign Antony and Cody Gakpo before the transfer window closes on September 1.

The Red Devils are expected to spend big before the deadline, and they have their sights on landing two attacking players.

They recently failed with a hefty £68m bid for Antony, and De Telegraaf report that the club are still interested in landing him.

A fresh proposal is expected to be made to Ajax, and it is widely reported that they could meet the reported £85m asking price.

Meanwhile, Gakpo would be a much cheaper buy at £42m, but PSV are prepared to delay negotiations for a few more days.

PSV have a key Champions League play-off second leg against Rangers. The tie is evenly balanced after a 2-2 draw in Glasgow.

Once they know their European fate, they are prepared to negotiate for Gakpo. The Dutchman is aware of United's interest.

United have a big boost in signing Gakpo over their rivals, considering he shares the same representatives as manager Erik ten Hag.
