Predicted Man Utd line-up vs Liverpool, Maguire and Shaw dropped
Manchester United entertain fierce rivals Liverpool in tonight's Premier League encounter at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are currently languishing in the 19th spot on the table. They have not picked up a point in their two games.
They face another big task on their hands. Liverpool have beaten them in each of the last three meetings in convincing fashion.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Line-up:
David de Gea had a poor showing in the embarrassing 4-0 loss to Brentford. He conceded the opening goal with poor handling before gifting the Bees with the second with reckless distribution. He is still expected to start in goal.
In defence, two changes are expected. Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw appear set to be axed from the XI. Diogo Dalot is a confirmed starter at right-back, and we could see Tyrell Malacia making his full debut on the other end.
With Maguire dropping to the bench, we see Raphael Varane coming in to partner Lisandro Martinez. Victor Lindelof won't play any part in the game as he is nursing an undefined injury.
Fred should act as the sole holding midfielder. In front of him, we could see the creative pairing of Bruno Fernandes and Christian Eriksen, who will need to be more attentive defensively tonight.
Further forward, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford are expected to play either side of Cristiano Ronaldo. Anthony Martial has just overcome a hamstring injury, and may feature off the bench.
Predicted Manchester United line-up (4-3-3): De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; Fred, Fernandes, Eriksen; Sancho, Ronaldo, Rashford.
