Conor Gallagher to leave Chelsea permanently?
Crystal Palace are looking into a permanent deal for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, according to The Times.
The 22-year-old had a productive loan stint with the Eagles last term, and he has since been integrated into the Blues squad.
Gallagher has so far played just 97 minutes across four matches, and The Times claim that Palace are eager to re-sign him.
The Blues graduate was exceptional for the London outfit last season, and his performances saw him make his England debut.
Gallagher may have hopes of making the World Cup squad, but that seems unlikely to happen unless he is playing regularly.
Palace have now made a formal bid worth £27m for his services, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues accept the bid.
Thomas Tuchel's side are said to be interested in Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, and a late move for him could be on the cards.
In such a case, Gallagher would most certainly head for the exit door.
