Chelsea pushing to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Chelsea have not given up on landing Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The west London giants recently made a bid of around £15m plus Marcos Alonso for Aubameyang, but the proposal was rejected.
Talks are still ongoing with the Catalan giants, and Romano claims that the club have now entered a key stage in the negotiations.
The Blues are optimistic of landing the former Arsenal captain, and will hold a fresh meeting tomorrow to try and finalise the transfer.
Aubameyang has already agreed personal terms with the Blues, and it remains to be seen whether the club can sort the fee.
Otherwise, they could turn their attention towards Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, who is open to pursuing a bigger challenge elsewhere.
The Ivory Coast star has under a year remaining on his Palace contract, and he could be prised away for a fee in the region of £40 million.
Chelsea will be hoping that they can sign either of them.
