Man Utd agree to sell midfielder to Everton
Manchester United have agreed to sell midfielder James Garner to Everton on a permanent deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Garner had a superb loan spell with Nottingham Forest last term, registering four goals and six assists in the Championship.
It was anticipated that he could break into the first-team this season, but that is unlikely to happen with the club deciding to sell him.
A number of Premier League clubs have shown an interest in Garner, but Everton have now won the race to land his services.
The Merseyside outfit are expected to pay £15m in multiple instalments. United have accepted the deal with a future buy clause.
They will have the opportunity to re-sign the 21-year-old for £40m in future.
Everton are making late moves in the transfer window, and they are also on the verge of landing former midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
Gueye is set to rejoin them from PSG after snubbing interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, who tried to hijack the deal.
