Chelsea handed midfielder boost ahead of Arsenal game
Chelsea have been handed an injury boost ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting against Arsenal.
The London giants are currently three points adrift of the top four and need to beat the Gunners to avoid losing further ground.
Ahead of the game, they have received a timely injury boost with Mateo Kovacic back in training with his Blues teammates.
The Croatian missed the midweek game against Dinamo Zagreb as a precaution, but he has been deemed fit to face Arsenal.
Chelsea have had a mixed record against the Gunners over recent years. They have won just one of the last four league meetings.
Hence, they have plenty to prove on Sunday and manager Graham Potter will be hoping that his players turn up with a strong display.
The Blues were completely outclassed by Brighton last weekend away from home. It remains to be seen how they respond to the loss.
Chelsea also have to face Newcastle United in the league before the World Cup. These two games could make or break their season.
