Chelsea midfielder could be fit to face Newcastle United
Chelsea manager Graham Potter has confirmed that Jorginho could be available to face Newcastle United on Saturday.
The Italian missed the midweek Carabao Cup third round loss to Manchester City with a foot injury, but was back in training today.
Speaking to reporters, Potter said that the midfielder should be in the squad, provided there is no reaction after the training session.
He said: "Jorgi trained today. So providing there's no reaction he should be in the squad [for Newcastle]. There is nothing else to report in terms of returnees."
Apart from Jorginho, there was no positive news on the injury front. Ben Chilwell, N'Golo Kante, Reece James and Wesley Fofana are out for the long-term.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has been nursing a foot injury over the past few games and Potter has confirmed that he won't be returning before the World Cup interval.
Chelsea desperately need a win against the Magpies tomorrow. They are already five points behind the final Champions League spot with a game in hand.
