Chelsea plotting deal for Celtic star after James injury blow
Chelsea have their sights on landing Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic following a fresh knee injury for Reece James.
James recently made his comeback from a knee concern, but lasted for just 53 minutes against Bournemouth before suffering another recurrence.
The England star has now been ruled out for around a month and he could be sidelined for longer if Graham Potter wants to be cautious with him.
Hence, the Blues need a quality back-up in their ranks and according to The Mail, they are looking into a January deal for Croatia's Juranovic.
The right-back, who is currently contracted to Celtic, had a wonderful World Cup campaign with his nation where they finished third ahead of Morocco.
It is now reported that Celtic are willing to sanction his exit for as little as £8 million when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
The transfer fee should be easily affordable for the Blues, who are in desperate need of cover in the position after James' setback.
