Mislav Orsic on Southampton and Everton radar
Both Southampton and Everton have tabled offers for Mislav Orsic, the attacking midfielder currently playing in Croatia for Dinamo Zagreb. The 30-year-old is likely to move to England during the January transfer window, as both teams have had offers of £7.5 million accepted.
Orsic is something of a late bloomer, having only made his Croatia international debut in 2019 at 27-years-old, and having spent three years playing in South Korea and China. A return to his homeland in 2018 sparked a rich vein of form for Dinamo Zagreb, and this has clearly not gone unnoticed.
Both the Saints and the Toffees have struggled for form this year, with Southampton sitting rock bottom of the Premier League, and Everton desperate to turn around their fortunes. Everton slipped to a 4-1 home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion yesterday, showing just how poor their season has been.
Orsic is wanted to spark attacking intent for both clubs, as both clubs sit amongst the lowest scoring teams in the Premier League.
It is understood a deal will be likely agreed well before the end of the January transfer window.
