Arsenal still pushing to sign Portuguese star?

Joao Felix news

Arsenal still want to sign Felix

Arsenal are still interested in signing Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix, according to The Independent's Miguel Delaney.

The Portuguese star has been touted to leave on loan this winter and the Gunners are one of the clubs interested in signing him.

Atletico's staggering demands of €15m has put them off from signing him, but it is reported that the Gunners are keeping tabs.

The north London giants currently have Shakhtar's Mykhaylo Mudryk as the top priority and talks are ongoing over a deal.

While that happens, they are also interested in signing a striker to fill the void left by the knee surgery suffered by Gabriel Jesus.

Felix is a top player on their radar and the Gunners are optimistic that they can persuade Atletico to lower their loan fee.

The Gunners are also hopeful of convincing the Spanish club to pay 50 per cent of the wages during the temporary stint.

Manchester United are also hot on the trail of the 23-year-old.
