Danny Ings to join West Ham

Various reports this morning suggest that West Ham will sign Danny Ings from Aston Villa, and he could be in line to face Everton in this weekend's crunch game in the Premier League. It is understood that the Hammers have had a £12 million bid accepted by the Villans, who is deemed surplus to requirements by manager Unai Emery.
The deal will be a huge coup for the Irons, as Ings brings one of England's best goalscoring records to the London Stadium. At Villa, Ings scored 13 goals in 48 games, but prior to that a spell at Southampton caught the eye, helping to propel Ings to England international recognition.
At Southampton, Ings bagged an impressive 34 goals in 67 games, and a long but unsuccessful stint at Liverpool prior to that. Ings emerged through Burnley's side as one of the Premier League's most potent finishers.
It is hoped that Ings will be competition for first choice striker Gianluca Scamacca, whilst Mikhail Antonio appears to be edging for the West Ham exit door in the January transfer window.
