Arsenal midfielder set to miss Brentford clash

Smith Rowe news

Smith Rowe out of Brentford game

Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe is set to be ruled out of Saturday's Premier League clash against Brentford at home.

The Gunners graduate recently made his comeback after a groin surgery but lasted only a few games before a thigh problem.

As a result, he has been missing in recent matchday squads and claim that he won't feature in the London derby.

Smith Rowe was absent from today's training session and he is widely expected to be ruled out of the Bees encounter.

Reiss Nelson, however, could make his comeback to the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury suffered in December.

The winger sustained the setback in the Emirates Cup loss and he will be hoping to redeem himself in the coming weeks.

Nelson is currently fighting for his future with the Gunners. His current deal with the club expires at the end of the season.

He may not start in the Premier League going forward, but could certainly feature in the Europa League knock out phase.
