Graham Potter confirms triple Chelsea injury blow vs Leicester
Chelsea manager Graham Potter has confirmed that Reece James, Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won't be available to face Leicester City on Saturday.
The Blues recently progressed to the quarter-final stage of the Champions League following an impressive 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of their last 16 tie (2-1 on aggregate).
They will be aiming to continue the good form against the Foxes at the King Power Stadium but ahead of the game, Potter has provided concerning news on three players.
James won't play any part against the Foxes due to an illness while Raheem Sterling is doubtful with a tight hamstring. Meanwhile, Aubameyang has a slight back problem.
He told Chelseafc.com: "Reece has been ill so hasn’t trained today, so he won’t make the game tomorrow. Raheem had a little feeling in his hamstring, more tightness than anything."
"So he’s looking doubtful for tomorrow as well. Aubameyang’s had a slight problem with his back, so again he’s looking like he’ll miss the game. Apart from that everybody’s okay."
Chelsea recently returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Leeds United at Stamford Bridge. Wesley Fofana scored the winner in the second half.
The west London giants should go into tomorrow's game as favourites, considering the Foxes have lost their last four outings and have been defensively vulnerable.
