Liverpool enter advanced talks to sign Man Utd target

Liverpool have entered advanced talks to sign Manchester United target Alexis Mac Allister.

The Merseyside outfit are determined to bolster their midfield in the next transfer window and Mac Allister is one of their top targets.

It is now revealed by Fabrizio Romano that talks are advanced with the player's camp over a summer switch.

Mac Allister has a clear desire to part ways with the Seagulls. He is expected to leave them before pre-season begins.

Hence, a transfer is expected by late May or June and Liverpool are reportedly in pole position to land him.

Brighton currently value Mac Allister in the region of £60 million but this has not put off the Reds in their pursuit.

United are also admirers of the World Cup winner but their situation is uncertain amid the ownership speculation.

The Glazers have invited offers for a potential takeover but they are yet to make the decision to sell or stay at the club.

This could see them miss out on Mac Allister to the Reds.
