Chelsea identify Andre Onana as their top target

Andre Onana news

Onana to Chelsea soon?

Chelsea have identified Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana as their top target for the summer transfer window.

The Blues currently have Kepa Arrizabalaga as their number one but the hierarchy are determined to make a change.

They want a top-class replacement before next season and Corriere dello Sport claim that Onana is the priority target.

Onana signed for the Nerazzurri on a free transfer from Ajax last summer and he has already kept 16 clean sheets for them.

Despite his impressive showing, Inter are ready to cash in for the right price and could sell him for a fee of around £40 million.

Chelsea have already held talks with the player's entourage and it is left to be seen whether they can prise him away soon.

The Blues won't be playing European football next season and this could dampen their chances of landing Onana's services.

If a club like Manchester United come forward for him, Chelsea may struggle to convince the Cameroonian to join them.
