Arsenal make decision on Emile Smith Rowe's future
Arsenal have decided to keep Emile Smith Rowe this summer despite his injury and fitness concerns this season.
The Gunners graduate has had a difficult 12 months with the Gunners and he is no longer a guaranteed starter for them.
Aston Villa are one of the clubs interested in signing him but The Athletic claim that the midfielder is going nowhere.
Smith Rowe has been a regular bench warmer this year but manager Mikel Arteta continues to believe in his potential.
The 22-year-old registered 10 goals and two assists in the top-flight in 2021/22 but has managed just two assists this term.
Despite this, the hierarchy have no concerns over the youngster and won't entertain any bids for him during the summer.
Next season could be a defining one for the graduate. Smith Rowe could be transformed into a central midfielder by Arteta.
With Martin Odegaard having cemented the number 10 role, Smith Rowe will need to adapt to a deeper midfield position.
