Manchester United have identified Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund as their top target to bolster the attack.

The Red Devils have been fancied to sign a marquee striker and they have been linked with the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

However, according to The Athletic, United's prime focus is on Hojlund, who has been dubbed as the new Erling Braut Haaland.

The Denmark star is left-footed similar to Haaland. He has a strong aerial and physical presence and is gifted with good finishing skills.

Erik ten Hag has already spoken with the striker through multiple video calls and United could open negotiations with Atalanta soon.

The Serie A outfit valued the striker at €60m earlier this year but the price could be lowered due to the lack of Champions League football.

Hojlund is one of the most valuable players in their squad and they could be tempted to cash in for a fee between €40-50m during the summer.
