Bournemouth, Luton Town, Brighton weigh up bid for Ridvan Yilmaz
Bournemouth, Luton Town and Brighton are considering a transfer bid for Ridvan Yilmaz, the Turkish international who joined Rangers in a £4 million transfer deal from Besiktas in 2022. The talented 5 foot 9 left-back caught the eye since moving to Scotland, and numerous teams are weighing up a move for the 22-year-old.
Left-back is a notoriously difficult position to fill, but a trio of Premier League sides are ready to make a move for the highly rated starlet. It is understood that Rangers would be willing to sell for around £15 million.
Yilmaz made his debut for Turkey in May 2021, and has since gone on to player a further five times for his country.
Brighton are believed to be in pole position to sign Yilmaz, with Bournemouth a close second. Roberto De Zerbi, the Brighton boss, has personally monitored the defender in action as he looks to add reinforcements to his defence ahead of the upcoming season. Luton Town are in the race and are willing to match the player's transfer fee, but the player's agent has hinted that a move to a European club would be preferred.
