Fulham to seal move for Castagne
Fulham to seal move for Castagne
Fulham will wrap up a deal for Timothy Castagne this week, as the Belgian full-back looks set to sign a long-term contract at Craven Cottage. With Leicester City being relegated to the Championship, the defender is ready for a return to the top flight and will sign on the dotted line this week.
The 27-year-old has been monitored by Fulham manager Marco Silva for some time, and the defender is wanted to help hot on the heels of the Cottagers' 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
He began his professional career with KRC Genk in Belgium, where he gained prominence for his versatility, solid defensive skills, and ability to contribute to the attack. Castagne's performances earned him a move to Atalanta in Serie A, Italy, in 2017. During his time at Atalanta, he continued to impress with his performances and contributed to the team's strong displays in both domestic and European competitions. He's also been a part of the Belgian national team, showcasing his talents on the international stage.
Fulham will pay around £9.5 million for the player.
