Liverpool to snap up Gravenberch

A deal that will see Ryan Gravenberch exit Bayern Munich for Premier League club Liverpool is expected to be the major transfer of note on transfer deadline day today, as the 21-year-old Dutch international departs the German league champions after just one season. Liverpool are long-term admirers of the holding midfielder, and have had a bid of £45 million accepted by the Bavarian giants.

Departures for Naby Keita, James Milner, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have left gaping holes in Liverpool's midfield, and manager Jurgen Klopp as been extremely busy in the transfer market attempting to plug these gaps. A deal for Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai followed. However, Klopp is not happy with just those three and wants to add Gravenberch to his squad immediately.

The player has been linked with a move to Liverpool for several months, with the major hiccup believed to be transfer fee. This is now no longer a problem and Gravenberch has been informed he is free to discuss personal terms with the Anfield side.

A deal that sees Gravenberch moving to Anfield is likely to be the biggest transfer completed on deadline day.
