Man Utd suffer double injury blow for Crystal Palace game
Manchester United have suffered a double injury blow with Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon ruled out of the Premier League game against Crystal Palace.
Martinez suffered a recurrence of his foot injury during the defeat at Arsenal and he was substituted in the following game against Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have now revealed that the centre-back will be out of action for an extended period of time. He could be sidelined for as many as three months.
Meanwhile, Reguilon picked up a hamstring injury in the 1-0 win at Burnley. The Athletic claim that he won't be available for selection until after the international break.
The news is a huge blow for the Red Devils, who currently have no fit left-backs in the squad. Sofyan Amrabat is widely expected in the role against the Eagles tomorrow.
With Martinez's injury, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof are set to start in central defence with Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire available to provide the back-up.
