Chelsea & Arsenal set for striker transfer blow?
Chelsea and Arsenal could miss out on signing Brentford striker Ivan Toney during the January transfer window.
The England international is currently banned from competitive football after breaching FA Cup betting rules.
He will be permitted to play again from mid-January and Brentford are keen to keep hold of him.
Both Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing him, but the Bees remain optimistic of his stay.
They are ready to hand Toney with a new and improved contract in order to snub the London duo.
Toney recently revealed that he is a big admirer of the playing style of the Gunners.
Arsenal are also admirers of the experienced striker but they may have to look elsewhere if he renews.
Chelsea are also keeping tabs on his situation, but they have alternative targets in their shortlist.
Napoli star Victor Osimhen is one of those, but he is unlikely to leave until the end of the campaign.
Osimhen recently disclosed that he has a jersey of the west London club.
