Chelsea ready to step up interest in Nigerian star

Chelsea are ready to step up their interest in landing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, according to Calciomercato.

The Blues are expected to sign a marquee striker at the end of the campaign and Osimhen is one of the top names on their wishlist.

The London giants have already spoken with his entourage while Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel are trying to convince him too.

It is now reported that the Blues are in a straight battle with Paris Saint-Germain for the striker, who is valued at €130 million.

Osimhen has yet to decide his next club, but he has previously acknowledged that he dreams of playing in the Premier League.

Napoli are aware regarding his ambition and they are unlikely to stop him from leaving, provided their valuation is met in one payment.

Arsenal are also admirers of the former Lille man, but they seem to be prioritising a move for Brentford star Ivan Toney instead.
