Man Utd without eight first-team stars for Fenerbahce clash

Manchester United will be without eight first-team stars when they take on Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Red Devils were without Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount for the recent Premier League win against Brentford at Old Trafford.

The list has been increased by two for tomorrow's game. Jonny Evans picked up a knock against the Bees and he has not made the trip to Istanbul while club captain Bruno Fernandes is suspended.

Despite the long list of absentees, the Red Devils have a strong starting line-up at their disposal and manager Erik ten Hag will expect a good performance from his team against Jose Mourinho's side.

United desperately need a win in the European competition, having squandered points against Twente and Porto with frustrating draws.

They were 2-0 up against the latter on the road earlier this month, but ended up sharing the spoils in a high-scoring 3-3 draw.
