Arsenal suffer major blow with another star out for the season
Arsenal have suffered a major injury blow with Kai Havertz ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring concern.
The Germany international has been inconsistent for the Gunners up front, but he has still netted 15 goals and provided five assists.
Havertz has been a constant presence since Gabriel Jesus' injury. He has now joined the treatment room after a major setback this week.
The former Chelsea man sustained a hamstring injury in the Dubai training camp and he has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The news is a huge blow for the Gunners. They are already without Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli with different injuries.
Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling and Ethan Nwaneri are the only forwards fit and may have to play every game hereafter.
If manager Mikel Arteta wants to rotate, he may need to opt for a midfielder in an advanced role. Mikel Merino could be an option.
