Chelsea ready to offload centre-back despite good progress
Chelsea are prepared to part ways with Trevoh Chalobah despite his good progress during the current campaign, as per Daily Mail.
The Englishman was loaned out to Crystal Palace last summer and he was brilliant for them during the first half of the Premier League season.
His form convinced the Blues to recall him at the turn of the year, considering the regular injury concerns for Wesley Fofana at the club.
Chalobah has done well with the chances offered to him, but the Blues are still open to offloading him when the transfer window reopens.
The centre-back is an academy graduate and the Blues can secure pure profit for financial purposes by offloading him on a permanent deal.
Palace could emerge as serious contenders to recruit him. They are poised to offload Marc Guehi with his contract expiring next year.
His departure could pave the way for a reunion with Chalobah. The Blues could be looking for at least £40 million for his services.
