Confirmed Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Brentford, James & Pedro absent

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has named his starting line-up for the Premier League clash against Brentford on the road tonight.

The Blues are currently on seven points from four matches and will be aiming to secure a victory before the international break.

Ahead of the game, Alonso has made multiple changes from the recent 2-2 draw against Hull City at Stamford Bridge.

Emiliano Martinez continues in goal for the west London giants.

However, there is a change in the backline. Maxence Lacroix comes in to partner Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill in the back three. Jorrel Hato drops to the substitutes' bench.

Pedro Neto continues at right wing-back, but there is a change on the opposite end with Pep Chavarria replacing Malo Gusto.

In midfield, Romeo Lavia is only on the bench, while Reece James has been ruled out of the game after a fresh injury in training.

Hence, Jordan Henderson makes his Blues debut and partners Valentin Barco. In the final third, there is a solitary change too.

Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers start as the attacking midfielders, but Danny Welbeck comes in for the injured Joao Pedro upfront.
