Venue: Stamford Bridge

The Clash of the Titans - Scolari v Fergie

Cristiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, John Terry - all these big names seem not so big before 'Big Phil' and Sir Alex. It is sure that the Sunday's game will be war! Two master-minds who believe in attacking, fluid football, a team of vastly experienced football talents - it is a Sunday treat for the fans.

Sir Alex Ferguson, the most experienced manager in the Premier League, has a tough rival in Luis Felipe Scolari - the world cup winner. The game will be end-to-end stuff, a high tempo match, a goal in the early minutes will make it even better watch.

Fergie is well known for his mind games, and he has already started it by claiming that it is Arsenal who has been the main threat for United over the years, and not Chelsea.

Previous encounters

Chelsea edges out United in a win-loss analysis (10-9 in 32 meetings) and they are the only team in the Premier League to have this positive record against Man Utd.

In the last encounter between these two heavy-weights resulted in a win for Man Utd, thanks to van der Sar's penalty saving skills. Chelsea were so close to being the champions of Europe and they will be ready for the revenge this time.

Chelsea is in brilliant form this season leading table with 10 points in 4 matches. Man Utd is having a tough campaign with no wins in three matches and is 14th in the league.

Tactics and Key Men

Luis Scolari is an attack minded manager, he has proved that while coaching Brazil and Portugal. He likes to give freedom to the full backs, allowing them to come forward often and send in early crosses. This will give more sharpness to the Chelsea attack, the midfield is now secure and looks strong with the Barca boy Deco. The Portugese midfielder will pulling the strings, allowing Lampard to get forward and test van der Sar early in the game.

Ferguson will be in two-minds, on sending Cristiano Ronaldo with the first team. Although this will push the United attack forward, Chelsea has good pace and they will be all set for a counter-attack. Fergie does not have the services of faithful man - Vidic - at the back, and he would be replaced with a more experienced Wes Brown than the young Evans.

Dimitar Berbatov, is back from injury and he might start from the bench.

The Keyman for United will be Tevez, whose incredible ability to run with the ball and penetrate into the defensive wall will be an advantage for United.

Vidic Suspended -Fergie fury

Fergie is certainly not happy about the decision taken by FA to suspend Vidic for the match, to add to the fury, Terry's red card in match against Man City has been rescinded.
