The superb brace Johan Elmander banged home at the Stadium of Light sees him make an appearance in our team of the week.
Meanwhile, derby match winner Wayne Rooney was an automatic selection alongside Robin van Persie.
At the back, Joseph Yobo put in a great performance alongside team mate Ian Howard as Everton battled to an away victory against Spurs.
Lee Cattermole and Darren Fletcher both represented their teams to the best of their abilities this weekend, battling away in midfield.
Meanwhile, this weekend's star man will be Samir Nasri. Absolutely outstanding for Arsenal in the victory against Chelsea, battling away in a defensive as well as an attacking midfield role, showing a side of his game that not many knew he had.
