Ryan Babel on Arsenal radar

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to test Liverpool and make an offer for Holland international forward Ryan Babel in the summer transfer window, should any of his front line be sold.

Emmanuel Adebayor recently hinted he would not be leaving the club in the summer, but there remains a little bit of speculation that Robin van Persie could be set to leave the club, with Juventus among his potential suitors.

Now Ryan Babel is on Arsene Wenger's radar, and the Gunners' boss will offer in the region of £9 million to secure the former Ajax players signature.

Rafa Benitez is likely to be reluctant to sell to Arsenal, however, and Barcelona are also said to be monitoring Babel's transfer status.
