Franck Ribery makes France World Cup squad

France manager Didier Deschamps has included Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery in his 23-man World Cup squad.

Ribery's participation in the biggest football fiesta was in doubt in recent days following his absence during Les Blues' warm-up friendly against Paraguay due to a back injury last weekend.

However, fears over his absence in the World Cup finals have been allayed, following the 31-year-old's inclusion by Deschamps.

Premier League players that made the cut are; Hugo Lloris, Bacary Sagna, Laurent Koscielny, Mathieu Debuchy, Patrice Evra, Mamadou Sakho, Moussa Sissoko, Loic Remy and Olivier Giroud.
