Sunderland move for Joe Hart

Sunderland eye Hart loan

Sunderland move for Joe Hart

27 August 2016 - 14:38

Sunderland have began discussions with Manchester City over a possible loan deal for goalkeeper Joe Hart. The England international is currently the third-choice at the Citizens behind Claudio Bravo and Willy Caballero.

  • Chelsea midfielder wants to play in Olympic games
  • Arsenal favourites to sign French winger ahead of Chelsea

  • The 29-year-old is no longer in the reckoning for the first-team with summer signing Bravo set to own the gloves at the Etihad.

According to The Mail, Black Cats boss David Moyes has decided to pursue the player with Vito Mannone out for at least three months after hurting his elbow in training.

Nevertheless, Hart has reservations over a move to Wearside, given they have been in a relegation battle in almost every season in the top flight.

Hart has appeared in 348 outings for Manchester City in all competitions since joining from Shrewsbury Town ten years ago.
