Predicted Chelsea lineup (3-4-3) vs Huddersfield Town, Giroud and Christensen start

09 May 2018 - 15:35

Chelsea entertain Huddersfield Town in tonight's league meeting at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have won their last four games on the bounce and they require to maintain streak in their remaining fixtures in order to have any chance of finishing in the top four.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Formation: 3-4-3

    Lineup:

Thibaut Courtois picked up his 15th clean sheet of the season during the 1-0 triumph over Liverpool last weekend and this keeps him in the running in the Golden Glove race. He is expected to start.

In the central defence, Antonio Conte may offer a rest to Gary Cahill and this should bring Andreas Christensen into a three-man backline alongside Antonio Rudiger and Cesar Azpilicueta.

At right wing-back, Victor Moses should retain his position and the same goes to Marcos at left wing-back. The Spaniard has only recently returned from a three-match suspension and should be afresh for the midweek game.

In midfield, N'Golo Kante is a certainty with his exceptional ball interception skills and he could potentially be partnered by Tiemoue Bakayoko who offers more in a defensive point of view than Cesc Fabregas.

Further forward, Willian and Eden Hazard are strong candidates to slot into the right and left side of the attack and they should be accompanied by Olivier Giroud upfront after another match-winning goal last weekend.
