Predicted Chelsea lineup (4-3-3) to face Bournemouth, Hazard and Jorginho start

31 August 2018 - 11:35

Chelsea will be aiming to continue their perfect start to the campaign when they entertain Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Cherries secured a shock 3-0 win last time around but the Blues will surely be keen to avoid a repeat with a commanding performance.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Formation: 4-3-3

    Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has cemented himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Blues since his summer arrival but he still has plenty to prove in terms of his shot-stopping. He should start between the sticks, eyeing only his second clean sheet in four matches.

In defence, Sarri has settled with a combination which he is unlikely to change and this should witness Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso occupying the full-back positions with Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz making up the central defensive department.

Likewise, the midfield appears settled with Real Madrid loanee Mateo Kovacic likely to get another run in the starting lineup. Alongside him, N'Golo Kante and Jorginho are certain to feature with the latter racking the second most number of passess ever in the Premier League at Newcastle last weekend.

Further forward, Pedro has made a bright start to the campaign and the Spaniard should manage to keep his position ahead of Willian on the right wing. Likewise, Eden Hazard has been on a roll since returning from his World Cup break and he has contributed a goal or an assist in each of the first three games. He should start on the left wing.

There have been plenty of question marks raised over Alvaro Morata's position upfront but Sarri has recently affirmed that he would continue to place his trust on the Spaniard. Morata offers the pace to catch the Cherries on the counter-attack and hopefully, he can add to his only goal scored versus Arsenal in August.
