Predicted Chelsea lineup (4-3-3) to face Cardiff City, Hazard and Higuain start

30 March 2019 - 18:57

Chelsea will be aiming to enhance their top-four push when they face Cardiff City on the road this weekend. The west London giants have been poor on their travels this year with just one league win and they will be hoping to improve on this record against the Bluebirds.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?
  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?

  • Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Lineup:

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been almost ever-present for the league duties this term and he should retain his position between the sticks for the visit of South Wales.

In the defence, Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz should maintain their regular roles at the heart of the backline but there could be a change in the full-back positions.

Cesar Azpilicueta is very much certain to slot into the right side of the defence but Marcos Alonso could get the axe  for the left-back role after his poor showing in the previous defeat at Everton. Emerson could replace him instead.

In the midfield, Jorginho is the undisputed choice for the holding role and ahead of him, N'Golo Kante and Ross Barkley are likely to feature with the latter enjoying a couple of strong performances with England during the international break.

Further forward, Eden Hazard should retain his regular role on the left side of the attack with Pedro on the opposite flank while Gonzalo Higuain should once more lead the line after becoming Maurizio Sarri's undisputed choice following his winter switch.
