Everton have deployed scouts to monitor the performance of Morocco international striker Youssef En-Nesyri at the African Cup of Nations 2019. The forward, who plays in Spain for minnows Leganes, has played in Spain since 2015 where he previously had a spell with Malaga.
The recent impressive form of the 22-year-old Fez born striker has captured the attention of multiple La Liga scouts, but it appears the Moroccan forward would prefer a move to England if a move to Everton does come to fruition.
The 22-year-old has appeared in over 20 games for Morocco's full national team and is a powerful and clinical finisher in front of goal and is highly-regarded in Spain for his ability in the air and from set pieces.
Everton manager Marco Silva is looking to revamp his attacking options for the new season, with Sandro Ramirez, Oumar Niasse and Kevin Mirallas all likely to leave Goodison Park. Theo Walcott, Ademola Lookman and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all highly regarded, but are not seen as the "fox in the box" type player Silva is looking to sign.
It is understood that Leganes will accept an offer in the region of 7.5 million euros for En-Nesyri.
