Arsenal are reportedly keen to beat the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid in the race to sign Marc Cucurella from Barcelona this summer.
The 21-year-old was re-signed by the Blaugrana from Eibar at the beginning of the season, but he was instantly loaned out to Getafe with the option to buy at the end of the campaign.
While Getafe are likely to purchase the left-back for £5m, reports have claimed that the Catalan giants will seek to re-sign their defender for the second year running.
According to Sport, Mikel Arteta's side are keen on sealing the signature of the left-sided defender, who has impressed in his 31 appearances for Getafe in all competitions.
The same publication claims that Cucurella could be available for around £21m, suppose the Blaugrana re-sign him, and the Gunners will seek to meet that valuation ahead of their European rivals.
Arsenal currently have two specialist left-backs in Sead Kolasinac and Kieran Tierney but they have regularly played Bukayo Saka as the makeshift defender due to injuries to the duo.
As such, there has been speculation regarding the futures of the pair and Tierney has recently been linked with a potential move to Leicester City in the summer.
