Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that new signing Fabio Vieira should be able to start training next week.
The Portugal star was the club's second signing of the summer, but he has yet to be involved in pre-season training.
He joined the club with a minor foot injury sustained with the Portugal Under 21s, and has been under rehabilitation.
Arteta has now revealed that the versatile attacker could start training with the Gunners from the upcoming week.
He said: "He [Fabio] had a slight problem in his bone and hopefully he will start to train in the next week or so."
The Gunners have won their three pre-season friendlies this summer. They will face Orlando City on Tuesday.
Kieran Tierney, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Emile Smith Rowe could all feature after minor niggles.
The quartet were missing for the 2-0 win over Everton yesterday. Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka were the scorers.
Arsenal start their Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace on August 5.
