Clement Grenier top of Arsenal shortlist
Clement Grenier top of Arsenal shortlist

Lyon have received a 9.2m EUR offer for midfielder Clement Grenier this week; and in an eyefootball exclusive we can reveal that Arsenal have made Grenier their number one target for the January transfer window.
Tottenham were linked with a move for the French midfielder back in July of this year, but Redknapp turned his attentions to Scott Parker and canceled a move for the Lyon man.
Arsene Wenger has been in regular contact with his chief scout Steve Rowley, whom has been scouting Grenier for over one year.
Reports from France indicate that Grenier is being lined up by the Gunners as a ready made replacement for Samir Nasri, who left the Emirates for Man City this summer.
However, the 9.2m EUR offer for Grenier is some way short of the reported 14m EUR valuation of Lyon.
Remi Garde is a good friend of Arsene Wenger, and has told his old manager that Lyon are planning to keep the core of their midfield together, so Arsenal may find their efforts to sign the midfielder will only come up short.
