Stoke City to wrap up deal for Adel Taarabt
Stoke City are confident that they can agree a loan deal to sign QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt. The former Tottenham attacking midfielder is hopeful that his agent will find him a club in the Premier League.
Mark Hughes, Stoke City's new manager, is desperate to find a creative midfielder in time for the coming season and has decided that Taarabt has the experience and abilities to play at the highest level. A deal could be agreed as soon as next week.
QPR are, however, hoping to sell the player on a permanent deal and have already rejected bids from French club Lille for the player.
Harry Redknapp, QPR's manager, wants to bring in Scott Parker as a replacement for Taarabt should the player leave Loftus Road.
