Arsenal lining up move for Alvaro Morata?

Arsenal have made an offer to sign Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata on a temporary basis during the winter transfer window, according to reports in Spain

The 21-year-old Spanish striker is expected to accept the opportunity to join the North London outfit, as he will be presented with more first-team chances than at the Spanish capital.


Morata has been linked with a switch to the Gunners, following Wenger's over reliance on French international Olivier Giroud for the striker's role this season, having seen the likes of Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott being injured for the initial part of the Premier League campaign.


Morata is considered as one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football, and Wenger's belief in young talent come well tempt him in signing the talented striker during the New Year.


The Spaniard's fellow teammate Karim Benzema has also been associated with a switch to the Gunners in recent weeks.
