Liverpool join chase for Yohan Cabaye's signature
Liverpool have apparently joined the battle for the signature of Newcastle United's star midfielder Yohan Cabaye during the winter transfer window.
Yohan Cabaye, who joined the Magpies from French Ligue 1 outfit Lille in 2011, has been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal since the start of the summer and was at one stage unwilling to ply his trade for the Tyneside club.
According to SportsDirect News, the Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing the French International in January, with the club in need of bolstering in the midfield, following a hamstring injury to Liverpool's playing legend Steven Gerrard in the club's 4-1 victory over West Ham United earlier this month.
Liverpool are currently placed second in the Premier League, two points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
