Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko could move to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund come the summer. The German club have lost the services of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski who has decided to join rivals Bayern Munich and are looking at someone to fill his boots.

Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has identified as an ideal player to replace the departing Lewandowski.

Some reports suggest that the club are willing to pay the 17 million pound fee but wages could be a stumbling block, however the Bosnian striker is willing to take a pay cut on his seven million pound yearly wage to be regular in the starting eleven.

The 27 year old is currently third choice for the citizens behind Argentine Sergio Aguero and Spaniard Alvaro Negredo.

During his time in Germany with Wolfsburg, Dzeko scored 66 league goals in 111 appearances for the club and won the Bundesliga title in 2008-09.
