Everton up bid for Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon
Everton have increased their initial offer for Tottenham forward Aaron Lennon as Roberto Martinez prepares to start his transfer business. Lennon has struggled for first team action at White Hart Lane this campaign.
The impressive form of trio Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli has left Aaron Lennon out in the cold and unable to force his way into Mauricio Pochettino's first team. With Andros Townsend also seemingly ahead of Lennon, the England international has decided that now is the time to make a move elsewhere.
A few other teams have also been linked with Lennon, but it is understood that Everton are the club that appeals most to the winger.
Everton have increased their bid to £7 million for Lennon, which is understood to be close to Tottenham's valuation for the player.
