Tottenham Hotspur plan Javier Hernandez bid
Tottenham Hotspur are set to make an opening offer of around £8m for Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican international is expected to play some part for United in the upcoming campaign following the sale of Robin van Persie to Fenerbahce.
According to The Sun, Spurs will launch an £8m bid for Chicharito, who spent last season on loan with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
However, United are unlikely to accept any kind of offer for the 27-year-old unless they seal a deal for a new striker in the transfer window.
United boss Louis van Gaal is expected to play club-captain Wayne Rooney as the main striker, with Javier Hernandez and summer signing Memphis Depay likely to provide ample support to the England international upfront next season.
