Jose Enrique wants Liverpool stay
Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has insisted that he is determined to prove his worth to the team.
The left-back has fallen below the likes of Alberto Moreno and Joe Gomez in the pecking order at the Merseyside outfit.
However, the 29-year-old has claimed that he has no intention to call quits on his Reds career, and is ready to fight for his place in the first-team.
"I'm in a difficult position. The club have alienated [Mario] Balotelli, [Fabio] Borini and me." he told reporters.
"I have a year left on my contract and I imagine the club will want to sell, but I still want to stay and fight as I always have."
Enrique joined the Reds from Newcastle United in 2011.
