Sunderland chase former Liverpool forward

Sunderland are planning an audacious move for Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas in the January transfer window. Aspas is one of Spain's in form forwards this season.
An excellent campaign in La Liga for the forward had caught the attention of the Black Cats' manager Sam Allardyce, with Sunderland's scouting network having been deployed to monitor Celta games twice in the past four weeks. Aspas had a disappointing spell with Liverpool and is rumoured to be interested in a return to England. The striker could be allowed to leave if a team matches the rumoured 12. 75 million euro price tag on Aspas.
