Pogba set for United medical

Paul Pogba has flown in to Manchester today to complete a medical ahead of a world record move to Manchester United, but the process could yet take two to three days, according to reports.

Italian journalist and transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Pogba arrived in Manchester today to undergo a routine medical ahead of a world record breaking move from Juventus to Manchester United, but the process could take two to three days to complete.

Both United and Juve have agreed a fee for the transfer believed to be an initial figure of €105 million (£89 million) with a further €5 million beased on conditional bonuses. The sum will be paid over three years.

In what has been the dominating transfer saga of the summer, Pogba has been linked with a return to Old Trafford since early June. Initially it was thought that Real Madrid were also in the race to sign Pogba, but the Spanish club withdrew their interest, unable to compete with the type of money United were offering.

Juventus have already invested heavily in their squad this summer, having signed Miralem Pjanic from AS Roma, Dani Alves from FC Barcelona, Marko Pjaca from Dinamo Zagreb, Mehdi Benatia from Bayern Munich, as well as the €90 million capture of Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuaín from Serie A rivals Napoli.
