Chelsea make fresh Kalidou Koulibaly bid
Chelsea have tabled an improved bid for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Blues boss Antonio Conte is desperate to land a new centre-back in the transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, the Blues have come up with a fresh £34m offer for the player, who has yet to resolve his future at Naples.
Koulibaly has iterated his desire to move on this summer, unless the Italian side negotiate an improved contract for his services.
The Senegal international joined Napoli from Genk in 2014, and has since become an influential figure in the club's backline.
He has previously attracted interest from Everton, whose manager Ronald Koeman is looking for a suitable replacement for outbound star John Stones.
Stones is currently the subject of transfer bid from Manchester City, and a deal is likely to be concluded in the next 24 hours.
Napoli rate their asset in excess of £42m, and are yet to deliver a response to Chelsea's approach.
