Arsenal to sign Wilfried Bony?
Arsenal are set to lodge a formal offer for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony. The Ivorian has fallen out-of-favour under new boss Pep Guardiola.
The Gunners are on the search for a new marksman this summer, and it is believed that Bony is one of the names on the club's shortlist.
According to The Star. the North Londoners will revive their interest in former target Bony after they failed in their approach to sign Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette.
Les Gones currently value their asset in excess of £40m, and this is well beyond the Gunners' £30m budget.
On the other hand, Bony is available for a price in that range, and it is thought that Arsene Wenger would prefer a player of his experience in his squad.
Bony has played back-up to Sergio Aguero since his move from Swansea City in 2015. He has netted 10 goals in 46 outings for the Mancunian giants.
